Rally Report – 10th May 2015

As usual, we ran our annual rally at Overseal and were blessed with a rain-free day, which was a miracle.
It was a very friendly and happy day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves with their dogs making the most of being with so many other Samoyeds.
We had 48 dogs and it was a pleasure to meet non-rescue, as well as rescue, people.  It is very much appreciated that so many of you made the effort to attend enabling us to make a brilliant profit of £946.00 on the day.
A big “thank you” must go to our wonderful team of dedicated helpers who work tirelessly to keep the stalls, and cafe, up and running.
Our Judge for the day was Val whose happy attitude made for a very pleasurable event.
Val’s judgements for the main winners were:-
                                          Best Bitch            –   Anoushka
                                          Best Dog              –   Snowy
                                          Best Puppy            –   Tasha
                                          Best Veteran          –   Cassi
                                          Best Super Veteran  –  Snowy
                                          Best Exhibit             –   Snowy
Snowy is an 11-year-old who brought his owners all the way from Cornwall.  He impressed the judge with his overall condition and youthfulness for an 11-year-old.
Our MC for the day, Ian, introduced a new class this year entitled “Ian’s Intelligence Test” which was won by Echo.
Photos of the Rally will be posted soon. I hope you enjoy seeing them.
